Looks like the leaders figured out how to get the big boys going. How about little Parsons back in the top-10. Nice to see Rick Olson up there again. Courts just seems to be on role in the last year. Seems he is in the top-ten on regular basis now. Will be fun to see how this one shakes out.

I wouldn't say little Parsons anymore, this kid can hold his own just fine! He maybe Gary Parsons son, but he still has to go out and catch fish by himself. But yes, very interesting top ten, definitely going to be a shoot out.

Didn't mean the Chase comment to be put down. He will always be little Parsons in most eyes. Just because he is Gary's kid. Plus, he still looks like he about 16. We all know he has proven he can play in the big leagues and belongs in the big circuit. I would love to see him win.

Forgot to mention that this tournament just made the AOY race interesting. Both Gary and Gofron for title number three and Mike has good day one and Gary got a small limit. That race could get interesing.

I gotcha, wasn't sure the way you put it. But I agree, Mike Gofron is in the same camp where I'm staying so after talking with him last night, I think he feels a little pressure today seeing he has a chance to take the lead with a strong finish here. But if there is anyone that deal with pressure, it's definitely him

Let's not count out Pat Neu for AOY. He's got a good day one weight, and if he stays consistant here, he'll be in good shape heading to his home water, Bays de Noc. Seems to me he won that event last year.

Shep you homer!

Don't forget Cass lake is after Bay de Noc - there's lots of fishing yet!

True on Cass, but I didn't bring up the AOY subject. I think there are several scenarios that could decide this thing.

But, yes. I am rooting for friend Pat Neu.

I will agree that it is pretty early in the race to start with the AOY stuff.

We started our own little AOY rankings, just for fun, of course. See how they compare to the circuit lists.

This tourney is going to play havic on the AOY race. The points are based off of the winners weight. There is a huge difference in weight from Braumbaugh down to even 9th. Currently, Gofron is getting 61 and Neu is getting 53. Braumbaugh of course would get 100. That is almost a 40 point swing. This tourney more than any could be the biggest hiccup in the AOY race.

AOY watcher. Definitely not AOY:)

I have way tooo much time on my hands. Here is how the AOY standing would look after day 1

1. Mark Courts 333.61
2. Mike Gofron 309.32
3. Pat Neu 306.61
4. Gary Parsons 301.71
5. Scott Fairbairn 295.7

Look at the huge jump Courts could make in this event if he keeps his weight up.

Any slot event could create a big swing in points under the PWT's formula. If someone's limit is made up of the max number of over fish, they will have a big point advantage over someone who is just catching under fish.

Bay de Noc is a slot tournament, so losses here could be gains there.

Anyone know if Cass is a slot tournament?

If I remember right Cass had no slot last time we were there with the PWT. Seems like we had a small amount we could put in the box though.

Chnaged, but also tightened up. 38 points from 1st to 5th after day one. Only 22 from 1st to 8th after day two!
