The Walleye Anglers Trail third tournament of the 2004 season sponsored by WalleyeFirst.com & Patriot Boats drew 35 teams to La Crosse, WI to compete for over $8,800 in prize money. Our sponsors provided dinner for all competitors at the rules meeting Friday evening prior to the tournament.
Heavy rains during the week prior to the event caused a substantial increase in water flow rate on the Mississippi River during the tournament. However, the challenging conditions did not hamper the abilities of the W.A.T. members as they brought in 25 limits on day one of the tournament.
Tom Oldenburg of Stoddard, WI brought in a 6lb. 8oz. walleye to capture the big fish award and $350.
Zach Boudreau (WalleyeFirst.com) and Curt Henderson brought in their limits both days of the tournament (31.11 lbs.) to capture first place and a check for $3,010. The team of Dale Krueger and Art Lehrman challenged our winners by weighing in (30.24 lbs.) to take second place and a check for $1,680.
