Mike Jurik of Saginaw, who finished the event in 14th place, won the 2004 points title in the Michigan Division. Vanderweide finished second in the points standings. James Duvall of Newport won the Co-angler Division with 10 walleyes weighing 57 pounds, 8 ounces. Duvall earned $1,453 for the victory. Duvall jumped from 10th place after day one to take the title. Rounding out the top five co-anglers were Mark Schimanski of New Baltimore (10 walleyes, 55 pounds, 8 ounces, $747 plus $200 bonus); Mark Tanner of Brazil, Ind. (10 walleyes, 52 pounds, 9 ounces, $623); Bart Dean of Bay City (10 walleyes, 51 pounds, 15 ounces, $539); and Ronald DeGraaf of Frankfort, Ill. (10 walleyes, 50 pounds, 2 ounces, $373 plus $115 bonus). Scott Schabel of De Witt - who finished the tournament in 20th place - won the Michigan Division's co-angler points title. Boaters and co-anglers who finish in the top 25 in final points standings in each RCL Walleye League division will advance to the $100,000 RCL League Finals Sept. 2-4 on Bays de Noc in Escanaba, Mich. The winning boater at the finals will receive an Evinrude-or Yamaha-powered Ranger, Crestliner or Lund boat. Every angler who receives weight credit in a tournament earns points, with 200 points awarded to the winner, 199 points for second, and so on, except for Super Tournaments, which award 300 points to the winner, 298 to second, and so on.
