WWA Ohio Team Challenge to Open Season on Lake Erie With Back to Back One Day Events
Fond Du Lac, WI - The "Land Of The Giants", Lake Erie, will be the site for the first two World Walleye Association Ohio Team Challenge events of 2004, Saturday and Sunday May 8th and May 9th.

The Ohio division will have new Co-Tournament Directors for 2004.

WWA Michigan Team Challenge Tournament Director, Jeff Russell will be the Ohio Team Challenge Tournament Director for the first three events in 2004 and Steve Poll, Executive Director of the World Walleye Association will be the Tournament Director for the last three.

Registration for the Saturday May 8th Team Challenge event will be Friday May 7th from 5:00P.M. - 6:30 P.M. at the Catawba Island State Park in Port Clinton and also on Saturday morning May 8th from 5:30 A.M.- 6:30 A.M. nest to the launch ramp. A rules meeting for Saturday will take place at 6:40 A.M. next to the launch ramp.

Registration for the Sunday Team Challenge event will be Saturday May 8th from 5:00 P.M. - 6:30 P.M. at the Catawba Island State Park in Port Clinton and also Sunday morning May 9th from 5:30 A.M. - 6:30 A.M. next to the boat ramp. A rules meeting for Sunday will take place at 6:40 A.M. next to the boat ramp.

The tournament is limited to 100 teams and all teams must be members of the WWA.

Boundaries for the tournament are Ohio waters only.

The WWA is a friendly, fun, and affordable way to participate in the competitive world of walleye fishing. Extensive media coverage of tournament results can be found on www.walleyefirst.com and www.worldwalleye.com along with coverage in the Badger Sportsman Magazine, the official publication of the WWA. Subscriptions to the Badger Sportsmen are included when anglers become members of the WWA.

The WWA also offers a National Championship at the end of the year for qualifying teams.
