Brown and Hannasch Win Second Day of WWA Team Challenge Big Stone Event
ORTONVILLE, MN - Tony Brown and Curt Hannasch took the lessons they learned from the first day event to win the second day of the World Walleye Association Team Challenge tournament held on Big Stone Lake May 2, 2004. This was a combined South Dakota/Minnesota Team Challenge event.

Tony Brown and Curt Hannasch trolled #5 Shad Raps on leadcore near the Hartford Beach area in 13-15 ft of water to catch their winning weight of 12.25-pounds.

Tony said "The wind pushed the mudline into the shore we were fishing and that helped us today." Brown and Hannasch are from the South Dakota Team Challenge division.

Day one winners Dusty Wilkens and Wes Wilkens placed second on day two with a weight of 10.35-pounds. The Wilkens were fishing the same spot as day one on the Minnesota side pitching jigs to shallow rocks. They also caught the big fish of the day, a 5.44-pounder. "We caught the big fish on the third cast of the day." Dusty said.

Donald Fellbaum and Troy Fellbaum place third with a weight of 8.42-pounds.

"This makes up for our one fish yesterday." Troy said. The Fellbaum's were trolling #5 Shad Raps behind planer boards on the far North end of the lake.

WWA S.D. Team Challenge Heading to Big Stone for Back to Back One Day Events
Fond Du Lac, WI - The World Walleye Association South Dakota Team Challenge will be heading to Sprawling Big Stone Lake May 1st and 2nd 2004 for the second and third stops of the season in the South Dakota division.

"We had a very close contest at our first stop of the season at Cedar Shores Resort on Lake Francis Case." Said Steve Poll, Executive Director of the WWA and South Dakota Tournament Director. "Less than a half a pound separated the top three teams. This says a lot for the skills of the South Dakota Team Challenge anglers and I expect the Big Stone tournaments to be much the same."

Bob Klosterman of Madison SD and Dan Palli of Nunda SD lead the point race in the division after their win on Francis Case.

Registration will be Friday April 30th from 5:00-7:00 P.M. for both events or for the Saturday May 1st event. Registration for the Sunday May 2nd event will be Saturday May 1st from 5:00-7:00 P.M.
