Howling winds, rain, and plain bad weather didn't deter veteran tournament anglers Leon and Leo Houle from winning the May 22nd World Walleye Association tournament held on Cass Lake out of Stoney Point Resort.

The First Place team of Leo and Leon fished Pike Bay keying on weed lines in 17' Lindy Rigging minnows. Five bites yielded 4 fish for the winning team, including the tournament's big fish at 4.54 pounds. Total weight taking home the first place check for $1130 was 12.75 pounds.

Second place went to Brett King and Doug Gardner with a total weight of 6.08 pounds. Doug and Brett fished in 7 to 20 feet of water with shiners and leeches to put 4 fish in the net. There were also many smaller fish caught by the second place team using this technique on Kitchie Doug and Brett took home $474.

Chad Benson and Joe Edlund took third with a total weight of 4.23 pounds.
